Fayette County roofing, siding and gutters

Fayette County sits east of Shelby. Larger lots, newer builds in the west, farmland as you go east.

What the work looks like out here

Work across Fayette County runs the full range, from a single cracked boot to a tear-off with new decking underneath.

Spring brings hail, summer brings heat, and fall brings the wind that finds every shingle the first two loosened.

We photograph what we find and show it to you. You should not have to take a roofer's word about a surface you cannot see.

We would rather be the crew that covers this county well than the one that claims the whole Mid-South. Saying no to a job three hours away is how we stay able to show up here.

Storm damage does not respect city limits. A hail core cuts a path a few miles wide and hits whatever is under it, which is why after a bad cell we are often working one corridor across several towns at once.

Working a whole county means seeing the same failures in different housing stock. A 1960s ranch and a 2015 two story fail in different places, and knowing which to check first saves everybody time.

The advantage of covering the county rather than one town is that we are already out here. Getting to a second look, or back for a warranty question, does not require a special trip.

Whatever the roof is doing, the process is the same: Jonathan looks at it, photographs it, and gives you a written price before anything starts. See recent work or get in touch.

What the work looks like county wide

Material choice shifts with the property. A subdivision house gets architectural shingles, a barn gets exposed fastener metal, and a low slope commercial roof gets membrane. Picking by habit rather than by building is how roofs end up wrong.

We keep the service radius honest. Covering this county properly is more useful to the people in it than claiming a territory we could not actually reach in a hurry.

Repeat work and referrals are most of our calendar out here, which is the only real quality control in this trade. A crew that cuts corners in a county this size stops getting calls.

Permits and local requirements vary between jurisdictions in this area. Knowing which office wants what, before the job starts, avoids the delay that surprises people.

What we get called for

Jonathan told me when his crew arrived. They were here completing the work in one day. Gave me a great price, the best I got out of 5.

Gutters, fascia and soffit come up constantly, often discovered during a roof job rather than called in on their own. They are one system with the roof edge and they usually get quoted together.

Metal roofing shows up on outbuildings, shops and barns across the rural parts of the county, and increasingly on houses where the owner wants a roof they will not revisit.

Low slope and TPO membrane work covers the small commercial side: storefronts, churches, restaurants and warehouse spaces where the roof is flat behind a parapet.

Siding and exterior painting round out the exterior envelope, and doing them alongside roof work saves a second mobilization and a second round of disruption.

Getting started

If you are not sure whether your property falls inside the area we cover, the fastest answer is a phone call. We will tell you plainly either way rather than stringing you along and then declining the job.

Work here is scheduled around weather and around the storm cycle, so timelines shift in spring and settle down through the rest of the year. We tell you where you sit in the queue honestly.

Everything starts the same way regardless of which town you are in: somebody walks the roof, photographs it, and writes down what it needs. No pressure attached to that step.

Whether the property is a house, a small commercial building or an outbuilding, the assessment is free and the number you get afterward is written down rather than spoken.

We keep our radius honest because showing up quickly is most of what makes a local roofer worth hiring. Overreaching on territory is how that promise gets broken.

Rural properties bring outbuildings into the conversation. Barns, shops and metal roofs on pole buildings are regular work, and they have their own failure patterns that have nothing to do with shingles.

Gutters usually get touched during a roof replacement whether or not they are being replaced, because drip edge and the last course of shingles interact with them. It is worth deciding about gutters before the roof starts rather than after.

If your attic is finished or used for storage, cover what is up there. Tear off shakes loose decades of dust through the decking, and it lands on everything.

Most of the mess is contained to the perimeter of the house, which is where debris falls. Plan on that strip being a work zone for the duration rather than a place to park or walk through.
