Roofing for Southaven homes and businesses

Most of what we do in Southaven starts the same way: somebody notices a stain on a ceiling, or a neighbor's roof got replaced and theirs did not.

What we run into around Southaven

Jonathan and the crew work Southaven regularly. These are the problems that keep turning up there.

Around Southaven you are looking at an area that is the biggest city on the Mississippi side, immediately across the state line.

Wind events in this region lift and crease shingles without removing them, which is why a roof can be damaged and still look fine from the driveway.

We photograph what we find and show it to you. You should not have to take a roofer's word about a surface you cannot see.

Gutters matter more than people give them credit for. Water that overflows a clogged gutter runs down the fascia, into the soffit, and eventually into the wall. A lot of what gets diagnosed as a roof leak starts as a gutter problem.

Flashing is where most roofs actually fail. Where the roof meets a wall, a chimney, or a neighboring plane, somebody had to make a joint watertight. Those joints are the first thing we look at and the last thing a hurried roofer bothers with.

A repair is often the right answer. We would rather fix the flashing and have you call us in six years for the replacement than sell you a roof you did not need today. That is not generosity, it is how a young company builds a referral base.

If you are in Southaven and something is wrong up there, send over the details or call (901) 922-9450.

How we work around here

Same crew, same process, every town we cover.

We protect the landscaping. Shrubs get covered, the yard gets run with a magnet at the end, and the debris leaves in our trailer rather than sitting in your driveway over a weekend.

You get the same crew start to finish. There is no handoff halfway through to a subcontractor you have never met and did not agree to.

If we find something we did not expect once the roof is open, work stops and you get a call with photographs before anything else happens. Surprises do not get quietly added to an invoice.

Season by season

Spring is the busy season here and it is not subtle. March through June brings the hail and the straight line wind, and the week after a bad cell every roofer in the metro is booked. If your roof took a hit, getting in the queue early matters more than shopping five quotes slowly.

Summer work has its own constraints. Shingles get soft in real heat and can scuff under foot traffic, so good crews start early and stop when the roof gets too hot to walk without marking it. A crew still hammering at three in the afternoon in August is telling you something.

What the job is like

Most of the mess is contained to the perimeter of the house, which is where debris falls. Plan on that strip being a work zone for the duration rather than a place to park or walk through.

Weather can pause a job mid-stream. When that happens the roof gets dried in before the crew leaves, meaning the exposed area is covered and watertight even though it is not finished.

The final walkthrough is worth doing properly. Look at the cleanup, ask to see photographs of the ridge and the flashing details you cannot see from the ground, and get the paperwork before the final payment.

Before you call

Nothing about this has to happen today. Get the roof looked at, get the findings in writing with photographs, and then decide on your own timeline with actual information in hand.

The useful outcome of a call is not always work. Sometimes it is a dated record of condition, which is worth having for insurance and for resale even when nothing needs fixing.

Roofs rarely fail all at once. They give you signals first, and the whole point of looking early is catching the signal while the fix is still small.

If a previous contractor left you unsure about what was actually done, we are happy to look at that too and tell you plainly what is up there.

Where Southaven sits

Southaven is part of DeSoto County, inside the radius Jonathan covers out of Germantown.

Questions from Southaven

Do you actually work in Southaven?

We have been on plenty of roofs in Southaven, and the problems repeat in ways that are worth knowing about before yours starts leaking.

How soon can somebody look at my roof?

Usually a day or two. If water is coming in right now, say so when you call and we move you up. Jonathan has tarped roofs the same afternoon to stop the damage from spreading.

Do you help with the insurance claim?

Yes. We document the damage, meet the adjuster on site, and talk through the scope with you. We have had customers tell us the photos are what got a denied claim reopened.

Is there a charge to come look?

No. Jonathan comes out, walks the roof, photographs it and tells you what he sees. If it does not need work yet, he will say that too.

Are you licensed and insured?

Licensed, bonded and insured, A+ with the BBB. Ask for proof, from us and from anybody else bidding the job.

What if it rains in the middle of my job?

We watch the forecast and we dry the roof in before we leave it. Nothing gets opened up that we cannot close before weather arrives.
