Season by season
The humidity here works on a house all year. It is why ventilation matters so much locally, why wood trim needs its paint maintained, and why a small unresolved leak turns into a mold conversation faster than it would in a dry climate.
After any severe weather it is worth a ten minute look from the ground, even if nothing seems wrong. Creased shingles and bruised mats do not announce themselves, and finding them within the claim window is worth real money.
What the job is like
Driveway access matters more than people expect. The dumpster or trailer needs a spot, and material gets delivered ahead of the crew, so clearing the drive the night before saves everybody an hour.
Tear off is loud and it vibrates the whole structure. Take pictures off the walls on the top floor, and if somebody in the house works from home or sleeps days, tell us up front so we can plan around it.
Pets and tear off do not mix well. The noise carries and there are people moving around the perimeter all day, so most customers board or crate them for the duration.

If a previous contractor left you unsure about what was actually done, we are happy to look at that too and tell you plainly what is up there.
Second opinions are welcome here. If somebody has told you that you need a new roof and it did not sit right, get another set of eyes on it before you commit.
Whatever you decide, insist on photographs of your own roof from whoever you hire. It is the one thing that turns a sales conversation into a factual one.

How soon can somebody look at my roof?
Usually a day or two. If water is coming in right now, say so when you call and we move you up. Jonathan has tarped roofs the same afternoon to stop the damage from spreading.
Do you help with the insurance claim?
Yes. We document the damage, meet the adjuster on site, and talk through the scope with you. We have had customers tell us the photos are what got a denied claim reopened.
Is there a charge to come look?
No. Jonathan comes out, walks the roof, photographs it and tells you what he sees. If it does not need work yet, he will say that too.
Are you licensed and insured?
Licensed, bonded and insured, A+ with the BBB. Ask for proof, from us and from anybody else bidding the job.
What if it rains in the middle of my job?
We watch the forecast and we dry the roof in before we leave it. Nothing gets opened up that we cannot close before weather arrives.
